Saturday November the 13th marked the date for Ohio’s First Beard and Mustache Competition held at Polen Farm in Kettering, Ohio. This event was put on by The Gem City Gentlemen of the Gilded Beard and was a charity event to help raise money for the Stillwater Center. The whiskers that were in attendance at this event were phenomenal, from mustaches with multi layered curls to split beards that grow past the knees. The turn out for this event was amazing and it was all for a good cause, and a few bearded bicycle riders from around the area were able to compete and even walk away with a few wins. Justin Kellermeier (pictured left) from K and G Bike Center of Kettering swept the Styled Beard Competition with help from his wife Karen who shaped the masterpiece growing from his chin. Local BMX Legend Sean Dunn (pictured right) won the Partial Beard Competition, and Failure Bikes owner Matt Bischoff (pictured middle) competed with some of the best Natural Beards around the world. System Cycle’s very own Tessa Bischoff came through with a homemade Viking Beard and was able to place in the Most Realistic Fake Beard Competition. For more photos check out www.daytondailynews.com
