We just wrapped up X Games Asia in Shanghai. What a wild time it was! Jamie Bestwick took home a gold medal in Vert, BK took 8th in street and we all had a blast. Nina, BK, and Catfish are about to embark on a weeklong tour of China to promote DK and Labici Bike shop of Shanghai. Check back for updates and where they are going to be. A couple days late on posting this one but it’s all fire from Drew B. Here is his welcome to the team edit from Shadow.

Just got back from a really fun NYC trip, met up with a ton of old friends, family and got to ride a bunch considering there was a ton of rain. Unfortunatley,while driving down the Grand Central Parkway in Queens, NY, aka pothole central, hit a few potholes, the bike rack i have, a hitch rack, made what I thought was it’s usual sounds over some potholes. Not even 5 minutes later the pin holding the rack up had fallen out, folding the rack down dragging my bike bouncing up and down off the highway while going about 75mph. My friend Rob was driving thank goodness or I would’ve probably wrecked the car freaking out over the situation. We pulled over eventually (people weren’t slowing down despite the rack dragging and bike bouncing). Good thing the bike was locked rack, which is probably how it didn’t get run over by a semi, or actually go through someones windsheild or cause a 5 car pile-up. I’m so bummed!! All in a matter of seconds, my frame is totally thrashed, like a soda can End result, wrecked frame, 2 flats, broken barrel adjuster, and a deadly sharpened rear peg. Minus some scratches, everything else held up!!! DK pedals, DK chain, prototype nina bars, phew!!!!! Uh yeah so, beware of NY potholes or something! Freak thing, still trying to get ahold of Thule racks to figure out how this could’ve happened. I’m headed over to China next week with BK and Catfish, I can’t wait! Talk soon! Nina B.

Big congrats to race team member Spencer Cole (8 year old Expert), for a perfect weekend at the Wiregrass Nationals in Circle City BMX in Dothan Alabama May 15 and 16th.

The crowds at FISE were absolutely enormous. Hands down one of the biggest contests any of us have seen. Brett and Brian both made finals and killed it. Maddog rode dirt last night and finished 4th! In park Brian Hunt  rode awesome and ended things with a wild toothpick on the wall, he finished 16th.  Typical Maddog awesomeness netted him 3rd place honors in park at one of the biggest contests in Europe. Congrats guys!

Brian Hunt fell over this wall on his first go and thousands of people thought he was dead. Seconds later he emerged victorious from behind the wall and the crowd went crazy.

Drew Bezanson, Brian Hunt, Brett Banasiewicz and Catfish are all in France for the annual FISE contest in Montpellier. They flew into Paris and drove down south. DK is well represented this weekend with UK riders Aaron Nicolson, Josh Cox, and Anthony Watkinson also present. Check back for updates!
