Watkinson interview!!

Check out this rad interview that Vital did with Mr. Watkinson.

Drews’ bike behind bars

Got some bad news from Drew today: Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! I got home a week before Christmas from New Hampshire and had to fire out my Christmas shopping. It was crazy, In the midst of that I decided to get my miniramp a Christmas present too and gave it a make over. Got a bunch of lumber to fix up one side that had some broken ribs and holes. Rebuilt one side and had extra wood so I kept the building going. I built a Quwedge add on. It sits into the transition that changes it from a quarter to a quwedge. Super fun! Finished all that last night, Then today it was crazy warm in Nova Scotia and we have no snow so I went to a new cement park 2 hours from my house. Beautiful day out, everybody’s shredding. I show up take a quick rip around the park without my helmet on and a cop saw me as he was driving by. He stopped came over, grabbed my bike, wrote me a $135 ticket and impounded my bike for 30 days. Well, all I got to say is I AM LIVID! Guess its time to hit the slopes. Ridaz! I’ll be stuntin on bikes in a month.  I hope buddy feels good about ruining my day. I’m gonna get ahold of him Friday when he works again and try to make a deal. Rida ride.

Good thing Drew B is muti-talented. No BMX for a month..maybe he can work on his MX skills.  Drew in NC last month.

DK’s raddest dude, Dane Beardsley stopped into DK on his way to see the fam in Michigan for the holidays. He put the flatland bike down and opted for his BK in order to tear up the bike park.

FUEL TV TONIGHT!!!!

Be sure to watch the Local Exposure Tour 5 on Fuel TV tonight at 8pm EST.  Tonight is the premier of the newest addition of LET. The tour is all about finding new BMX talent all over the world. Allan Cooke packs his RV full of BMX pros and they search new parks looking for unknown riders and make them superstars. DK riders Brian Hunt and Catfish were on the trip. We don’t want to give anything away but this years winner also has some pretty strong ties to DK.  Be sure to check it out!!

Chris Childs heats up winter

It’s freezing just about everywhere in the country right now. Especially in the Northeast. That won’t stop Chris Childs. He just heads indoors and fights off old man winter. Here is an awesome edit he put together this weekend.
Stay warm!

Shark Eyes aka Brian Hunt update

Hey guys,

It has been a crazy week in NH. We got hit by a huge ice storm and 250,000 people in the state lost power. That means no heat, no showers, and obviously no tv or computer. My neighborhood got torn apart real bad and it looked like it got hit by a hurricane. I was extremely fortunate though. Drew and I went snowboarding right after the Rye contest about 3 hours north in Maine. I ended up leaving my car keys up there and when we came home I was stranded without a car at Rye. I was bummed since it lasted a couple days but I wasn’t home for the ice storm. At least 5 cars got totaled the night of the ice storm in my neighborhood. My good friend who lives next door was one of them and we usually park pretty close to one another. Things certainly can happen for a reason good or bad and I was psyched my car was safe. After I finally got my keys back there was no reason to go home seeing as how no power can be quite boring. I stayed at rye with a couple of my friends that are building the park and there couldn’t have  been a better place to stay. There’s plenty of beds to sleep, showers, ping pong, air hockey, a movie projector, some sweet ramps, and fun. There really isn’t a better place to be while there’s no power. We finally got power back this morning 6 days later so thanks to those guys for letting me hang out. Drew just left for home after many months hanging out and destroying the states. Clint Reynolds took a couple photos of him before he left and the last couple days he really made count with his riding. Triple truck drivers? ?He doesn’t have anything really to ride at home so I know he’ll be back in no time. The photos you can also see some of the Zak Earley and Clint influence. Either way Drew has been ripping and I’m gonna miss having an awesome dude to ride and hang out with. Come back soon dude!!! hope you guys are doing well. -Brian

Kachinsky cookies

BK sent in an update:

My girlfriend asked me to help decorate christmas cookies the other night and I couldn’t help but try to make some DK cookies. Yeah, not so good. I can do a handrail, a barspin and even a tabletop, but I can’t make a “D” or “K” out of frosting. I’ll give it another try again next year.  I’m glad I didn’t draw my own frame decals…more importantly check out some pics from last week…
