Secret Weapon…
Brett sent over a few pics and an update from his recent trip to Barcelona with Levi’s…(you know he smiling because he probably just shut down the city)
“Well I just returned home from Barcelona to sunny California from one of the best trips I have ever been on. I have been in Barcelona, Spain with Morgan Wade, Dakota Roche, and Will Stroud filming for web videos and also the new full length Levi’s BMX DVD. It was an amazing trip to one of the best street riding cities in the world. There are more spots to ride then you could ever hope for and some of the friendliest people Ive ever met. We ran into some locals the first day we were there and they ended up being our tour guides for the whole trip!”
DK’s Raddest Dude- Dane Beardsley is recovering from a wild crash right before Christmas. A rail-hop gone wrong resulted in two broken elbows and a long time off his bike. The casts came off today and Dane is stoked. In celebration I am posting this awesome video of Dane filmed a few weeks before the crash. Filmed by Jon Dowker. Peep it. So good.

From BK: Fresh off an adventure to Estonia. I was fortunate enough to go over to the winter wonderland a few days early with the rest of the Etnies team to check out what Tallinn had to offer. We spent the first full day wondering around the city and checking out the sites. It was extremely cold but it seemed like everytime we thought about turning around and going back to our hotel we’d see something cool again and continue exploring. By the next day I was antsy to ride. We had walked around the city and I’d seen a million cool things to ride. It’s such a bummer to see some great stuff to ride and see it covered by a foot of snow and ice. Low and behold, later that day the sun actually came out and George(a photographer from Austria) and I went riding around Tallinn.I have to admit, under these conditions at home I would head straight for the indoor skatepark but we were in Estonia and I couldn’t pass up the chance to ride this stuff before the contest weekend got underway. We found some amazing stuff and shot some cool photos. My hands were frozen, my bike was caked in dirt and slush, my clothes were soaked, my back had a huge mud-line all the way up to my head, my brakes didn’t work, my chain was frozen and even despite all that I had one of the best times I’ve ever had on my bike.  Here is a photo of a spot we found with endless ledges down stairs. I had to chip ice off the left side one in order to ride it. In hindsight I probably should have removed the ice from the landing too but I made it work. Random wrench use # 138: use to chip ice of a ledge in Estonia. haha   I’m glad to be home. I have some serious stitches in my knee cap from a piece of wood on the course but it should be better in a couple weeks. Then off to Florida and California! more soon….Â
