WARSAW / ROCKFORD RACE REPORT

The past two weeks were back to back national weekends for the DK race team. The Mid West Nationals were at the infamous “Rock.” The weekend started out great with Tommy Zula putting down a dominating performance in the A pro ranks by picking up the Win on Saturday. A few miscalculations had us all thinking that Tommy turned AA after his win on Saturday. Sorry A pro class Tommy is still $110 short after an 8th Place on Sunday. Fellow A pro Jason Jewell didn’t have the best luck over the weekend. Mid range points and a boot over turn two in the third moto put Jason out for Saturday. Sunday was almost a mirror image after a few slams in the turns, Jason was out. He was up in front in quite a few motos but the higher points kept him out. DK’s 9X Spencer Cole pulled out a textbook win on Saturday with some sick style launching the final set of doubles on the last straight. Spencer pulled off a solid second on day two rounding out the weekend for the DK crew.

This weekend was the first national for the NBL/ABA/USA BMX sanction in Warsaw IN. The A pro class was two small, therefore neither Jason nor Tommy were able to race this event. Tommy made the move up to Ohio Dreams instead to become one of the Head Race Instructors so make your reservations and learn from one of the sports best. Spencer decided he would show his dominance over the weekend by winning every single lap and by sending the big triple on the third straight. Way to go Spencer, we can’t wait to see this kid when he gets older.

Thanks to DK Bicycles, Kenda Tires, Nema Brand Race Gear, THE Helmets, and FiveTen Shoes for the support over the past few weekends.
